Curious what products or services people use to improve your poker game.

HoldemManager, PokerTracker or PokerOffice?

PokerAce HUD, SpadeEye, TableRatings or PokerDB?

Any coaching or training sites?

We will be adding a product review section to this site shortly along with some additional features and offerings and we'd like to know what type of things you guys are interested in learning about or what you use currently.

There are lots of good products out there to improve your game.

I use my partner for knowledge lmao.... I also read Bluff mags etc etc and lots of books. I also look to the internet for any video and resources. Spend lots of time watching the big guns go at it but most importantly I play LOTS which is where I have gotten most of my knowledge.
The only tools I use is sharscope (database only) which I use to monitor my own performance only. Seems I am on the way back up btw :D finally I am getting back to scratch after a BIG downwards fall in tourney play :)

Any coaching or training site would be nice. Have just read an article about that and it sounds interesting.

I've been using PokerOffice a lot, but i recently decided to start using SharkScopeHUD. This program has several important features, but is only really useful for SNG's. For instance, it shows:
- amount of SNG's played
- avarage stake
- avarage ROI%
- total winnings/losses
However, it does not give you much of the info PokerOffice will enlighten you with, such as:
- %raise preflop
- %call preflop
- %reraise preflop
- %bet on flop
- %raise on flop
- %call on flop
- %check on flop
etc..

Does anyone know a program that combines the features of PokerOffice and SharkScopeHUD?
Can anyone recommend any programs for SNG's?

For cashgames HoldEmManager combines the HUD (where it shows the data on your table) with all sorts of neat and helpful stats. PokerTracker also does this as they now have PokerAceHUD as part of their product offerings.

For SNG's there are quite a few products out there. SNGIcons.com is a pretty good site for SNG's. They offer training and coaching as well as lots of tools you can use. I haven't played those for awhile so I'm out of the loop with what is new and current but I know basic ICM Calculators are very important (Free, just do a Google search), as well as various programs which analyze situations for push/fold equity like SNGPowerTools (this might be outdated now, I'm not sure) and BubbleTrainer (which I think is part of SNGIcons now).

Are there any free programs out there that can track your handhistory like pokeroffice do?

I have no need for any type of real-time analyser of my opponents at the moment, but would like to get a view of my "hidden" gameflaws.

I can't think of anything free. Also PokerOffice is a pretty low level solution. The two products worth paying for in this sector, IMO, are PokerTracker and HoldEmManager. Each should be under $100.

I think you can download PokerTracker free and upload a limited number of hands to test it out. If you want to import a large number of hands you'll have to pay. However if you actually use it it will pay for itself many. many times over.

My total winnings this year on full tilt = 170$

so to pay almost 100$ to correct my game a bit, seems a bit over the edge for me

I user PokerTracker to keep of my long term tendencies.. I don't use it much though.. I mostly play single table SNGs and I don't find PokerTracker particularly useful for analyzing torunament results.

For everyday use I use HoldemIndicator.. it is small, fast and mostly just works. Unfortunately it takes up quite a bit of screen space (appx +25% of the table). making multitabling more difficult.

I am currently working on my own software that can show overlay statistics that I find relevant. (loose allin caller, tight allin caller, loose pusher etc..) + better note overlay. I'm fairly far with the PokerStars support. Let's see how it goes.. it's difficult to find time for both Poker & sparetime projects ;)

For training I have used SitNGo Wizard to train Push/Fold situations for STTs.

Also I have found the training videos on Sharkscope quite useful.
