I have just been reading 1 of my monthly magazines. Maybe its a good thing I actually read the following news

There was a television exposure concerning the lead content in poker chips. Lead exposure of course detrimental to our health. This caused an uproar from a health and safety group and the result ........21 Californian casinos will soon convert to lead free poker chips at their tables.

Apparently toxic levels of lead exposure can occur just but handling the chips!!! A public alert has been issued by the Arizona Department of Health Services. I am wondering if this will now trigger a world wide domino effect of chip replacement. Guess we may have to get used to the cheaper variety light weight chips.

Maybe we should all go and have a blood test to determine how much lead we have in our systems ???

Poker Chips are so nasty. I'd be more worried about all of the germs on them from people licking their fingers, picking their nose, not washing their hands in the restroom etc. Live poker players aren't the most sanitary bunch and the chips don't get washed ever I'm sure.

I imagine they wouldn't wash them eeeewwww (Wheres the vomit emote?). Now you say that, the lead seems like nothing!!!! Are you allowed to carry hand sanitizing agent to a poker table ???

To be changing them over though there must be some truth. I imagine the cost to be extremely high !!

This is spot on, i pity some dealers scooping in those sweaty mothers.
