Elky used to be a professional StarCraft player (I've played SC a lot). He lost one of the biggest StarCraft events to "SlayerS'BoXeR'", who has been the biggest name in StarCraft for a long time. After he lost this match he started playing onlinepoker with much succes. He usually played a couple tournaments while playing SNG's and cashgames too. :P
So.. he actually used the nickname ElkY long before he started playing poker.. interresting huh? Guess not..

Here is a link to some info about the game: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starcraft
Here is a link to the match between the two mentioned people: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBk1vul3OHE
StarCraft is a big game in South Korea. Many people consider it their job. They dedicate their lives into playing StarCraft. Those are called professional gamers :P Elky is the guy with sunglasses btw.

thanks for that youtube link. i don't see the fun in that though, all of these former starcraft and warcraft players. just watching them play that game made me bored

No offence, but most games are boring unless you put time into learning and understanding the game. I think most people who doesn't know poker would be bored watching High Stakes Poker or Million Dollar Cashgame. I've played ICCup, and I only started enjoying watching StarCraft replays after understanding the various strategies and build orders. :)
