I have encountered many tables which appear to have people working together in gangs. This has occurred to me in the last few months whilst grinding. I see the same people from the same countries ganging together on a daily basis. Has anyone else ever encountered this ?
Maybe I am just paranoid ... but it is the SAME people each and every day !!!!

I have had my suspicion about that as well, but never looked into weather or not it is a winning strategy.

This is called collusion, though I wouldnt be too worried/paranoid about it. If something suspicious happens contact/support security department and/or post it here.

Collusion is against the T&Cs of all cardrooms and will result in getting your account closed and your funds seized.
2 playrs sharing holecard information have a natural advantage because thy know more then all the other playrs. They can also bluff people out of hands or make pots bigger when needed.

every time i have been on a table when the play is wierd with people in the same geographical region i have always contacted support and it has never been the case after they checked into it.. just fish playing badly or running lucky.

The latest scandals with absolute poker and ultimate bet should have shown that we can never be sure. Cheating in any form will always be attempted and it will always be fought against. I just dont believe that people are seriously cheating in low Limit games .

I seriously doubt there is collusion going on at low limit online games. It would be far too easy for the software and security to detect as the player pools are so large. Not to mention it would be like stealing a 1992 Honda Civic when you can steal a brand new BMW with the same effort.

These kinds of theories and paranoia's are very common with newish players. This along with the decks being rigged against them. Once you have been around for awhile you will see that there is little reason to be concerned about this kind of thing.

Well, I thought that too .... till I saw "a player" who I was suspicious about accidentally type in the wrong chat box Q10S (I assume an accidental type lol :p). He left VERY quickly as did 3 other players. This is what triggered me to actually put up the post. These particular people are always at the same tables day in day out and on watching they rarely take each other on in a hand and if they do ... one bails out on the flop always.
They are playing very low limit cash tables but are raking it in on a daily basis. I have seen it over and over :(
I believe this lot is a gang and I am making the security section aware. I will get some screen dumps each day and pass it on in an email. I guess that is the best way to deal with it. As suggested above :) ty
