Double Up or Nothing - Easy bankroll builder!
We have added a new way for you to increase your bankroll - a Sit & Go tournament called 'Double Up or Nothing'. How does it work?

Finish in the top half of the field and receive double your buy-in back! So if you play the $2 Double Up or Nothing SnG, you need to finish in the Top 5 of the 10 players at the table to receive $4 - no matter if you win the tourney or finish fifth.

This is on Intertops poker.

Just wanted to post for the people who didnt know :)

That really takes the fun out of the HU-game when your winning is the same...

Sure does, but if you just want to make some easy money it's a great game. Just play the first levels tight :) They also made a crasy game where you are put allin everyhand and the winner takes it all. Pure luck and i don't understand it

Well, some people plays like that anyway so I think it's a great idea to give them their own games

I have wieved some $100 games "Double or nothing" on Titan. It seems a little wiered when there suddenly showes a sign with four winners $200!
And I think they miss a very essential part of the game, when the number of players reduce. And you miss to strenght your own play in these situations.

Well. I know that, and I won't stop playing "regular" poker. But i think it's great to earn easy money. And why not play for easy money? Can't really see why. You can have 2 or more tables opened. keep folding untill a really great hand shows up and just let the other players kick each others asses. Then meanwhile you just keep folding you have a "normal" tourney going and you concentrate your "real" play on that table :)

That's how im going to do it anyway :)

Found out Poker Stars have got these too and in a more interesting way with 10 players and antes.
That gives some tactical challenges; eg you have to consider who you want to take your fights against.

I entered into one of these by mistake :D I was so confused when that message popped up to say i had won lmao. Yes it is definitely a good way to build bankroll if you dont do anything stupid. Good thing to do why playing some regular poker. I multi task "poker" and the 300 chip sng's the same way :) ... these seem a much easier money maker though ;)

I love these double or nothing sng's... the variance it fairly difficult to work out though.
Who has any experiece with Doube or Nothng SNG' and how to bank roll manage?
I typically play 22.00ng's.. and do fine.. how do they compare with 20.80 sng dblnthn? I experiece extreme fluctuations.

Well i played my share of Double or nothing sngs, and lets face it the level in the tourneys are EXTREMELY low, its like all the donks/fishes who cant win in regular sngs just crowds together in these sngs because they think they can win more often here. So yea they are nice but ofcourse on most sites its turbo Double or nothing and people are either very Tight or hyperagressive, so it can be hard to figure out what kind of gameplay you need to pull out. Next thing is that you need to win 1.2 games outta 2 to just get even due to the rake so its not all that easy and due to the turbo fact you get alot of added varians which you need to take into consideration but for most players this is a good play style and can give a more steady income or atleast a less steep downswing :D

I tend to agree with DAD. You don't get much "play" for your buy-in. Therefore, the luckfactor plays a big role. I actually think playing regular 10 person SNG's are much more profitting due to the blind structure. However, if your goal is to rake a lot Double or Nothing's and super turbo's seems like a good choice :). I raked 2500$ which gave me a free ECOOP III Main Event buy-in by playing a lot of those.

I'm impressed Buldemar. Raking $2500 would take me so long time, I can't even think about it:p
How many tables do you play at a time?

I mostly played between 4 and 8 tables. I had to speed it up a bit in the end so I played a bunch of 100$ double or nothing's too... When I look back at it I think I could have gotten better results not playing so many tables but I really wanted to rake enough to get that free buy-in.

Well done. Anything over 3 tables at a time is beyond my fantasy - I have tried 4 a couple of times, but lost control. Probably an age thing :-)

But I know the feeling having to collect player points for a bonus expirinng in few days or hours.

Can just be me but dont you guys sometimes get bored when only playing 1-2 tables? i gotta admit i get a bit bored cause not that often you get a hand so mostly folding thats pretty much why i like multitabling, but ofcourse bulders 8 tables shorthanded sngs is crazy but so is he so fits :p:cool:

But your playing style also matters. I think I overall play a lot more hands than you do, so 8 tables all 6 handed tops for me. Anything above would just be too chaotic for me.
Also, playing super turbo 6 handed makes it a bit easier because most of the time you only have to either push or fold, no postflop decisions. :P

Yeah I know people think I'm stupid because I sometimes reraise with 24off and hands like that. It's just my style. I think it can be profitable if you do it right.

dont you guys sometimes get bored when only playing 1-2 tables?

You're absolutely right about that point DAD, but then I just hit www.playr.com...

I need time to focus on the other guys play too - whenever I make the mistake of not taking notice I often find myself in stupid potcommitted situations.

But even watching the others can't always fill out the time, so yes, I do get bored and thats also a source for mistakes - I get impatient and tilts just to get som action.

Anyway I know I make more mistakes when I gets to busy,

I think you can play a kind of ABC-poker in SNG's, but if you are playing a serious tournament it requires your full attention.

It isn't an age thing, if so ... I am old :p hehe

I have played in some of the stars double or nothings and the play is very bad to say the least. people have no problem getting into very marginal or bad spots early on in the tourney and for some of the stakes I am sure it wouldn't be that tough to fold into the money.
