Generally speaking you want to play less hands in early position and more hands in late position playing PLO compared to playing NLH. You also want to defend your blind against a late position raiser more often. While AA is way ahead of 9Ts in NLH, AAxx is actually even money with double suited connectors, take or give a few percentages. Therefore you are more often given the odds to call from the blinds than you are to a standard 3x BB raise playing NLH. For the exact same reason, position matters a lot more in PLO so you rarely want to raise from early position and frequently want to raise on the button.
The hands you want to play is double suited connectors or close cards and high pairs (remember to adjust your requirements accordingly to your position). You want to get your and your opponent pot comitted with AAxx preflop if possible. Else you will have to go for set value or at least play AAxx carefully. 1 pair is rarely the best hand playing PLO, even if it's HU. I've seen soooo many noobs overplay AA because they seem to think that AAxx is as great a hand as it is when you're playing NLH. I usually try to either keep the pot small with AA or get me or my opponent(s) pot comitted preflop to prevent myself from losing a lot of chips due to difficult postflop decisions.
Good luck at the tables :P

I wouldn't mind being a mod :) I actually quit being a mod in another forum a couple of days ago so I might have a bit more time at my disposal.
