The other day i was at this friend's house along with other 5 dudes. We played for a couple of hours and just the two of us left. He was dominating me with his chips and at this last hand i had A A , both called and opened up the first 3. 3 were A 8 Q. So i was like i'm definitely pwning this round. I betted half of my money see if he sees it. He did. new card was 4. I said yep this one is mine for sure. I put it all in, he saw it. Last card was 5. We opened up, I had 3 Aces, he had 2 3 in his hand and a straight with A + 5 + 4. He finished me off. I couldnt spoke a word for 5 minutes.

So he basicly won my best two cards A A, with his worst two cards which are 2 3.

Now your WTF ? moments.

lol what a donkey

mine was in a cash game at a small casino in northern california. the blinds were $2 and $5. there was a drunk guy in the game who was splashing around in every pot. i got him heads up with top set, my JJ on a board of Jxx. i of course let him do the betting. i check the flop, he bets, i call. i check the turn, he bets again, i call. i check the river, he bets again and now i go all in. he looks at his cards and looks at the board and shrugs and calls the last bet.

i only had enough to about double his bet, so with most hands he should call.

BUT HE HAD 7 HI!!

LOL

Actually 2-3 is not the worst hand. 2-7 offsuite is, if that can be of any comfort to you...

Actually it depends on the situation. 23off only beats 27off 1/4 of the times asuming that we are talking about different suits. But if I am to play a pot that only represent, say, 1/10 of my total stack I would rather hold 23off than 27off due to the fact that I am more likely to make nuts on the flop with 23off (because of straight possibility). For this reason, 27off is, in most books, considered the worst starting hand.

Iv had runner runner quads vs my aa - board A Q 8 - Q Q, all in on the flop but he did have a flush draw. On the turn i think hes drawing dead and start to scoop chips, then bang, im pwned up the arse with the case queen and ship him the sng

that hand is pretty funny. nothing you can do when your opponent plays like that other than assume in the long run you will win even though you lost this one time.

I was playing at Jupiters casino in QLD and bought in for $300 in a $2.50/$5 ring game, i was patient for ages throwing bad cards out, finally had KK on BB, callers all around so I raise to $50(in great position mind you), 2 callers flop comes J 8 X, i check, dude bets $100, other folds and I go all in for the rest of my stack, dude calls me and shows J 8suited, board blanks the last two and he cleans me up. He says o well they were suited and you havent played anything man????
I cracked it and stood up for about 30 min, came back to the table and rebought for $300, waited and got AK suited about mid position, 1 player raised to about $30, gets to me I raise to $60, 2 callers, flop comes A K Q, thinking I have to be in there, i check after 1st guy checks, same guy as before goes in for $50, other guy folds, I think def in front so raise to $120, he pushes all in so I insta call, he shows 10 J off, I loose again play 2 hands and loose $600, ?? Did I get caught out by bad play or play it wrong myself??

You should def. bet in the second hand. Doesnt change the outcome but the board is to connected in a big pot to check there. What if the Turn is a J a T or a Q?

do you think i should have gone all in on the first, the only thing I could think here was maybe a lucky catch on a mid pkt pair but not likely , surely not two pair looking at the board and def not a str8 as yet, maybe a chaser so I think it was a good bet obvios not, I see what you were saying on the second, even though it wouldnt have effected the hand there were a few options for any other player to catch up with free running cards, i think i was trying to get value on a hand that quite possibly would have burnt me any way the cards fell, just a bad night for me in a place I usually have a consistantly good run at
