What they are saying is quite true. Poker skills can be applied to a host of other endeavors. I've learned a tremendous amount about being an entrepreneur from my skills as a professional poker player.

Bankroll management, win-win solutions, putting yourself in the shoes of another, setting your emotions aside, variance (getting lucky or unlucky), looking at the long term and on and on.
