***ATTENTION!!!*** [league changes days and sites + omahaha ]

Hi playrs, as requested by lots of people we decided to move the league from sundays. We also decided to add 1 more day for the league where we will play a 5$ nlhe and a 5$ omaha hi tourney. The said tourneys will be played on every wednesday with the omaha mtt starting at 7 and the nlhe starting at 8pm CET .

Right the next day meaning every thursday we will have the league as we know it with the 3$ nlhe tourney starting at 7 and the 10$ nlhe tourney starting at 8 pm.


We have also agreed to move the league to pokerstars (http://pokersites.theplayr.com/PokerStars) so our american members can play too.

As short notice on the point system:

The money won in the 10$ tourneys will euqal the points a playr gets for the ranking, money won in the 5$ tourney will be doubled into points and money won in the 3$ tourney will be trippled into points. Thats because there hasnt been a huge difference in the toughness between the 3$ and the 10$ tourneys lately. The omaha league will recieve its own league ranking.

Monthly finals:

will be played on everest poker (http://pokersites.theplayr.com/Everest_Poker) the first sunday after the end of each month,
the prizes are sponsored by us beeing 50$, 30$ and 10$ for the first 3 places and a guaranteed seat in the yearly final for the winner the buy in will be 1$.

an exeption to this is the monthly final for february wich will be played on 4th march

what will happen to the points from the small tourney up to now?
Will they be re-calculated according to the new structure or will they still "only" be doubled?

Firstly im a bit disappointed, that you effectivly have to play two days a week to be in the tourney. I must have misunderstood the poll. I thought it was the idea to find the day most people could play it (wednesday) and the make an "Omaha-day" on the second best day(thursday).

There is no doubt in my mind, that some playrs will think that 2 weeknights is to much to use on the tourney and the stop playing all-together since you dont stand a chance if you disadvantage yourself by not playing more than half the time. (or 2/3 of the time if you play thursday)

I think its great, that there are sponsored prices for the monthly final, but why do it have to be on Everest Poker when it is you that are sponsoring them?
I could understand the need if you had gotten Everest to sponsor, but now it just feels like i have to be obligated to get yet another account, and i am really having trouble keeping track of the ones i have allready....
Besides i dont feel its nice to have a monthly final where the american playrs cant play, now that we have given them a chance to play in the tourney.

then we are requiring everybody to play for two nights per week to compete for the league and as k1 said (and i agree) that is asking too much.

we can have a second day that is just for fun but not counting toward the points for the league/monthly final etc.

I agree with this and my additional suggestion is that on the days of omaha there could also be various tournaments which are not a part of a league. Just for fun playing perhaps NLE HU one week, stud the next and 5 crd draw the third.

I agree.

Having the PL-tourney on wednesday (most votes) and then having "events" on thursdays that doesnt count in the PL is a fine balance between being able to play in the PL and still have some extras.

As a side-note, those events could be used as advertising for this site. We could have a free-roll with prizes and/or bounty on the Playr-staff or any other structure you could think of, that would draw in some extra people. The "catch" being you couldnt get the prizes until you had registered on here.

What do you mean with 1 tourney?

That we continue as we have so far exept we move it to wednesday and then have "non-league-tourneys" on thursdays. If so, then i think its the right way to do it.

We think about just making it 1 tourney per league. At the moment there isnt that much need for 2 tourneys and with the non league day on thursday we already have quite an amount of buy in tourneys.

Yes I think this plan worked out good and I like that several people agreed that we should do one PL day and one Fun day. Hell we can have tournaments every day of the week if different people want to play them, but only one day counts toward The League!
