I read that since making a $50 deposit, Tom Dwan has never gone bust...
I lost my $135 deposit last week, am I alone or have other people lost the lot too??

Yes, and it all comes down to bad bank roll management on my behalf. You are not alone, trust me! Oh! and btw, I won't be doing it again. If only I had read up on bankroll management before it happened. .... So much for my qualifications in business accounting lol ....should have used them prior to my bustos lol

Absolutely - on all most any site ;) - as Daniella says it's all because of bad BR management. Still not very good at it so I've just come up with a different approach to it.

Never been bust.
I made a DkK200(at that time that was about $25-$30) deposit 4 years ago and have never deposited since.

Curiosity might have killed the cat. But I'll take my chances and ask; How much is your bankroll at at the moment?

I went bust many times for the first six months. Maybe $10,000 total.
Then I read a poker book and found poker forums and zoom zoom never looked back.

At the moment i have just taken a serious hit since i have been trying to learn to play cash-game.
I have about:
$150 on neteller
$50 on Party
$200 on Classic
$75 on Bet24
$75 on FullTilt
so a total of around $550
I made a lucky 3rd place in one of the first tourneys i played and then the roll has been very steady at around $200-$250 the first 2-3 years.
The last year has been the year where i got the roll up. If i hadnt played cash-games it would have been just short of $900

I have never gone broke, but I'm also keeping striktly to my BR-management!!!
Started last year in January on Full Tilt with $100, in november I withdrawed $500.
Status now:
Full Tilt $300
Titan $30
Party $110
Stars $25
Neteller $100
Playing cash games to get the bonus free, and to increase the BR if nessecary.
But usually I play 30-45 seats SnG's
Just to tell, that I'm a satisfied lowlevel playr, there have fun with some poker, striktly to my BR :-)

Once you break through the low stakes to mid stakes the numbers are silly when you compare them to real life.

Me too Blobbi, but I'm hoping to play for a living eventually...
Although it's only a small amount, I think going bust has been a valuable lesson about BR management.
I'm not a gambling man but anybody fancy taking a bet on if I can go pro within 5 years?? :D
