Ligers (http://images.google.ie/imgres?imgurl=http://thelongestlistofthelongeststuffatthelongestdomainn ameatlonglast.com/Animals/liger.JPG&imgrefurl=http://thelongestlistofthelongeststuffatthelongestdomainn ameatlonglast.com/animals25.html&usg=__fqc65IcK8ECNYTxBMHo6y3MXV9I=&h=255&w=381&sz=34&hl=en&start=10&um=1&tbnid=GXRw6RAV9TuNsM:&tbnh=82&tbnw=123&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dligers%26hl%3Den%26um%3D1)

If you encounter a Liger the best way to survive the encounter is to bark like a dog, Ligers seem to detest the noise and more often than not they retreat.

hahaha.... that site is really funny.

Ligers really do exist in captivity/artificial breeding programs and are scary mo-fo's!! It is as you would imagine a cross breed of a Tiger and a Lion but the end result an "effing" huge great pussycat!!!!!

These things are indeed HUGE!

The 10ft Liger (from Tiger Family) who's still growing. He looks like something from a pre - historic age or a fantastic creation from Hollywood. But he is very much living flesh and blood - as he proves every time he opens his gigantic mouth to roar. Part lion, part tiger, he is not just a big cat but a huge one, standing 10ft tall on his back legs. Called a Liger, in reference to his crossbreed parentage, he is the largest of all the cat species. On a typical day he will devour 20lb of meat, usually beef or chicken, and is capable of eating 100lb at a single setting. At just three years old, he is already weighs half a ton. When he is fully grown he is expected to reach 12ft, and almost 90 Tonns.

I think they made one small error though "almost 90 Tonns" hehe
So its 12ft tall and weighs the same as 1½ Abrams tanks! :D
